For 2010, all donations are entitled to 2.5 times tax deductions. Donors should include personal particulars for auto-inclusion for tax deduction, thus tax receipts for donations via e-donation and telepoll will not be issued.

However, some organisers may set a floor amount so that the cost of administering the tax exemption is not higher than the amount donated.

Filing Donations for Tax Deduction

Please note that individual donors do not need to claim tax deductions for donations in their income tax form if they have provided their NRIC No. or FIN No. to the President’s Challenge at the point of donation. The donation details will be provided to IRAS by President’s Challenge (through NCSS Charitable Fund) and the donation deductions will be included automatically in the individual's tax assessment.
